Who We Serve . . .
We serve the organizations and institutions that are the foundation of our communities.
Our dedicated staff of professionals will work to help you achieve your goals. We offer a wide range of development and fundraising services to help your organization cultivate and gather your financial resources.
The building plans, costing approximately $5.5 million, consisted of a new church with potential seating for 400 or more, a gathering space for fellowship before and after services, a ministry center to provide comfortable, sufficient space for Bible study and the many ministry group needs, office space, drive-through covered drop-off, rest rooms, adequate parking, a connection between the church and school campuses, and a school expansion to provide additional classrooms to accommodate school growth.
“I am reminded of the outstanding service that was provided. They were flexible and adaptive to our process. They guided us expertly through the process and we hit our goal, and then some. Their insight, professionalism and willingness to serve really served us well, and our ability to raise the kind of money that we did is just another testimony that we certainly hired the right company. Today, we have a vital active ministry going on this campus, as The James Company helped us achieve our fundraising goals, and we were able to build and complete a project that has been a true blessing to all of us here and the community. We have been pleased with the ongoing level of engagement we continue to receive that helps our congregation. We are very thankful.”

Congregational Goals/Project that the Appeal was directed to:
The initial appeal helped fund building plans, costing approximately $6.7 million, consisting of new construction including a narthex, chapel, bride’s room/parlor, classrooms for adult formation and the Catechesis program, choir rehearsal and storage space, inviting outdoor walkways, gardens and a covered drop off, meditation garden, labyrinth and columbarium, administration offices, handicap accessibility across campus, and restrooms. The second appeal is targeting debt retirement and an additional $1.5 million effort to preserve, restore, and renew their worship space.
“The James Company guided us through every step of the process of preparing and then conducting a successful capital campaign–something our parish had not undertaken for over 100 years. Not only did our consultant help us launch the campaign, but he stayed with us all the way through the process and afterward.”
Naomi J Norman, Senior Warden
Messiah Lutheran Church in Madison is a growing congregation with a strong clergy and lay leadership, a great spirit and a vision for ministry and for its building project. The $3 million dollar building addition and renovation project will provide much needed space for it growing congregation and ministry and a welcoming environment for members and visitors. $1.5 million was raised in the initial three-year building fund appeal.
“I found the James Company to be truly supportive of our ministry here at Messiah. They approached their fundraising from a gospel approach to stewardship and facilitated the process in a way that was both educational and inspirational. Don Schultz helped us define our goals clearly and develop a competent and smooth-working team. Karen Turner was wonderful as she worked with our Appeal Assistant to meet our task timetable. The congregation was extremely affirming of the fundraising approach. We will definitely involve the James Company in our future fund appeals!”

Holy Family parish is the result of three parishes merging. The need to build a new church facility to accommodate the parishioners became apparent. The new church was dedicated in 2007.
The $9.7 million building project was funded in part through the sale of properties, the financial contributions of the parishioners, and the many visitors and friends who frequent the church given its location amidst a summer vacation region in Northern Wisconsin. In addition to supporting the Building Fund Appeal, parishioners and friends contributed over $750,000 towards the furnishings and equipment needed inside the church.
Holy Family parish is now focused on paying down the building debt as quickly as possible.
